一位贏得FWA收錄的互聯網藝術家的感言
沒想到我贏得了FWA獎！
我真的很高興，我的個人作品網站贏得FWA獎，這是我的網站地址：http://www.wimvanhenden.be
我花了很多時間在這個網站建設上，想法和概念一遍又一遍的在改變。我想創建一個非常具有實驗意義這樣的網站，將側重于用戶的去輸入，除了文字之外沒有使用其它任何圖形語言。
在很長一段時間里，我一直保持最初的想法，但是，我的大多數同事們都沒能抓住這個想法（同事們，沒有冒犯的意思啦:-)
所以考慮到它是一個個人作品的網站，從幾個方面考慮人們會想在網站得到一些數據，我改造它，使它變的更傳統些。
但是，做網站和概念一樣，這是一個永遠不會結束的故事。我和一些從HOLOCUBE來的小伙子將一直工作 ，敬請期待更多…
Wim Vanhenden的作品非常具有實驗意義，他的作品網站極其富有實驗意義:
一開始打開網站我們會看到了在一個場景，街道上汽車在行駛，投在建筑商上的一些文字等等。我們看到這些真實的場景，確實會有身臨其境的感覺。
這時會有個對話框讓你輸入：“ 你的有什么想法嗎？ ”當你隨便輸入了后，他會對你輸入的信息進行數據搜索分析。
隨后，又會出來一個輸入框：“ 您喜歡的樂隊或歌手？ ”。你輸入的文字會以3D技術視覺形式呈現。這時就會對你輸入的樂隊或歌手進行相關的搜索并播放，背景還有相關專輯封面或歌手等對應圖片切換。一切都是基于互聯網上的數據加載、數據分析、最終展現來完成。
Wim Vanhenden（Internet Artist互聯網藝術家）背景介紹：
Wim Vanhenden生于70年代，是第一代在自己房間擁有個人電腦的這樣一個孩子。
他生長在一個富有創意的家里家庭里：他的父親是教油畫的，并且擁有一家藝術畫廊，他的母親是一位陶藝大師，他的姐姐是平面設計師，比起油畫來說他更被電腦說吸引注。80世紀中期，基于Tandy TRS-80 Coco二手家用電腦，他開始的進行第一次實驗性的繪畫。
從那以后，對他來說沒有電腦的生活是不可想象的了。
互聯網締造了新一代藝術家:
我們每天看FWA、NWP、DA、等等收錄網站，每天都會有新奇的網站出現在互聯網上。如此跨多領域的一個互聯平臺締造了新一代藝術家—–互聯網藝術家，他們運用計算機特有的屬性進行實驗意義的創作，這不同尋常與網站設計，平面設計，繪畫，雕塑，陶藝等等。它更注重藝術與技術的結合，是一種建立在互聯網絡上的新的藝術形式，是以互聯網絡為載體、以計算機網絡軟件為基礎的具有強烈科學技術特色的藝術形式，是科學、技術與藝術互動的開放式藝術形式。

How about that: I won an FWA award!
I am really excited about winning an FWA award for my portfolio website http://www.wimvanhenden.be
I’ve been working quite some time on it, changing the concept over and over again. I wanted to create a very experimental website which would focus on user input to build up the site not using any other graphical assets, except for text.
I stayed close to my initial idea for a long time but even most of my colleagues couldn’t grasp it at first (no offense guys :-)So considering it is a portfolio site and at some point people need to access some data, I remodeled it, to make it a bit more conventional.
But working on websites and concepts like this is a never ending story.I am working on some stuff with the guys from HOLOCUBE, so stay tuned for more…

Wim Vanhenden（Internet Artist互聯網藝術家）背景介紹：
Born in the late seventies, Wim Vanhenden is a child of the first generation that grows up with a personal computer in the living room.
He was raised in a creative family:his father owned an art gallery and teaches painting, his mother is a ceramic artist and his sister is a graphic designer, he himself has always been more attracted to computers than to a painter’s canvas.In the mid eighties he started drawing his first experiments in BASIC on his Tandy TRS-80 Coco II home computer.
From that moment on wards, life without computers is unthinkable for him.
