Google x MediaMonks“活甲骨”榮獲Adweek全球互動裝置獎
為了慶祝甲骨文被發現120周年,將甲骨文重新帶入人們的視野,Google攜手陳教授和MediaMonks一起發起了這一項目。在上海舉行的2019年Google開發者日活動中,Google藝術與文化團隊的主要目標是通過技術來科普“藝術與文化”的認識。雙方的探索造就了“活甲骨”創意的誕生——讓甲骨文活了起來。
In order to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the discovery of Oracle, Google, together with Professor Chen and mediamonks, launched the project to bring Oracle back into people's eyes. In the 2019 Google Developer Day event held in Shanghai, the main goal of Google art and culture team is to popularize the knowledge of "art and culture" through technology. The exploration of both sides has brought about the birth of the idea of "living oracle" - transforming Oracle into living creatures.
中國的漢字文化博大精深,每一個漢字都是一個單獨成立的故事,漢字的進化過程,就是中國文化的演變進程。但是在離手寫越來越遠的今天,如何讓“甲骨文”重新綻放它文明的光輝呢?
The Chinese character culture can be broad and profound. Every Chinese character is its own unique story which evolved with time. Some would argue, studying the evolutionary process of Chinese characters is in essence studying the Chinese culture history. But how to make Oracle scripture blossom the brilliance of its civilization when it is far away from handwriting?
首先,訪客們使用繪圖板根據視覺參考繪制一個古代甲骨文腳本字符。Google隨后會用TensorFlow分析筆跡。如果畫的筆跡與參考非常接近,手寫的象形文字就會在平板電腦屏幕上消失,并以動畫形式跳躍到主屏幕上。這些象形文字的靈感要么來自動物,要么來自自然元素,這給了我們發揮更多創意的機會,比如:老虎追鹿、孤翁垂釣、猴子撈月。
Google asked visitors to use drawing tablets to sketch an ancient oracle bone script character based on a visual reference. The brand then analyzed the drawing with TensorFlow and with the magical use of GoogleDraw, we made the image come to life and summoned it on an impressive 10m wide LED screen. The story focused on animals and natural elements, giving us the opportunity to create additional hidden stories such as tiger chasing deer, a person fishing from a boat and monkeys touching the moon.

此次活動吸引了包括清華大學在內的3500多名參與者,在Google微信公眾號上的瀏覽量達到12000次,并在B站直播上產生了250萬次的瀏覽量。
The activation attracted more than 3,500 participants including TsingHua University and 12,000 views on Google’s WeChat account, as well as generated 2.5 million views on BiliBili livestream.
