Generation Lockdown:該做的不是槍擊自衛(wèi)教育,而是立法改革

Generation Lockdown

自1999年美國哥倫拜恩高中校園槍擊事件以來,幾乎每年都會發(fā)生校園槍擊案。但美國政府做的是不斷地推行如何在校園槍擊案中自保的教育,而不是通過參議院42號背景擴(kuò)展法案,該法案將嚴(yán)格管制槍支和危險人員的接觸以及管理槍支的渠道,能夠從源頭上避免年輕人遭受槍支暴力事件。

March For Our Lives作為一個反槍支暴力立法的組織,在今年推出了一支視頻《Generation Lockdown》。當(dāng)人們要學(xué)習(xí)遇到槍擊事件應(yīng)該怎么做的時候,給他們上課的“專家”居然是一個叫Kayleigh的小女孩。

Kayleigh告訴他們,當(dāng)暴徒持槍闖入室內(nèi)時,應(yīng)該用桌椅板凳等重物頂住門口,然后躲在暴徒難以發(fā)現(xiàn)的角落不能出聲,更不能哭。

當(dāng)你在廁所時,你要蹲在馬桶上,保證頭和腳都不能被歹徒發(fā)現(xiàn)。Kayleigh還教他們識別槍聲“bang!bang!bang!”,這些槍聲往往伴隨著一個個生命的不幸喪生。最后她還唱起了在學(xué)校里槍擊演習(xí)訓(xùn)練時唱的“Lockdown~Lockdown~Let's all hide~”

通過發(fā)布這支名為《Generation Lockdown》的視頻,意在向人們展示未成年人在學(xué)校里面學(xué)到的遇到槍擊事件時所作的反應(yīng)。好像防止槍擊事件發(fā)生成為了未成年成長中必須學(xué)會而且日常生活中必不可少的一個技能。通過視頻的傳播以引起人們的廣泛關(guān)注,敦促參議院盡快通過槍支管理法案——S.42法案。
