Schick 舒適剃須刀的創(chuàng)始人Colonel Jacob Schick曾是美國的陸軍中尉，他于1921年發(fā)明了首款彈匣往復式剃須刀（Magazine Repeating Razor）剃須刀，靈感源自戰(zhàn)場上的來復槍。這把剃刀的特點在于其刀片可以替換，同時有手柄避免更換刀片時弄傷手部。這個劃時代的設計令市場刮目相看。
1963年，Schick 舒適成為全美首家生產(chǎn)特富龍（Teflon）外層不銹鋼刀片的制造商，大大減低剃須時的磨擦；五年后，舒適再度領先科技，創(chuàng)制鍍鉻的刀片，令刀片更耐用；此外，舒適還在全世界首創(chuàng)一按清洗功能，安全護網(wǎng)刀頭，并提供彈性刀片，不斷改進的潤滑條設計和符合人體工程學的手柄等。
Schick 舒適于2003年加入了勁量集團（Energizer）。
