2023年，Spotify推出了新的視頻廣告單元，但媒體策劃人和廣告商仍然認為Spotify只是一個音頻平臺。
為了吸引更多廣告商在Spotify投放視頻廣告，Spotify將一份“特制”的媒介投放報價Excel表格發(fā)送到了各大品牌和代理商郵箱中。
Spotify將音樂視頻編碼成10MB的Excel文件。講了一個E7單元格的故事——跟隨著配樂《Shiver》，E7從理性世界醒來，踏上了探索世界的旅程。
更讓人覺得“上難度”的是，Spotify并不是將制作好的視頻插入Excel，而是直接在Excel中對音樂視頻進行編碼，并使用了使用了ASCII、圖表、Unicode和條件格式等內(nèi)置函數(shù)，把電子表格的行和列變?yōu)楫嫴迹瓦B為視頻配樂的DJ John Summit本人也之前也是一個精通Excel的會計師。
如此特別的宣傳，Spotify只為告訴廣告主們：Spotify不僅能投放音頻廣告，同時也是值得信賴的視頻廣告平臺。
